The keyboard is part of a wireless kitchen system for calling staff and communicating with customers.
It is used in combination with the Y-650 wireless pager-clock and wireless call buttons.
The waiter's pager can receive notifications from both the buttons (from the customers) and the keyboard (from the kitchen staff).
Sample work scenario:
A wireless button is associated with each table, and the buttons are paired with the waiter's watch
The keyboard, in turn, is also paired with the watch
The customer signals the waiter using the button, and the corresponding symbol for the call type is displayed on the watch screen
The kitchen staff signals the waiter by dialing the number of the table for which the order has been fulfilled from the keyboard. This way, the waiter knows exactly which table he is being called from the kitchen, saving time and misunderstandings. When calling from the keyboard, the clock does not display a call type symbol (so the waiter knows that the call is coming from the keyboard and not from a button on a customer table)
